Dialight Unveils New Battery Backup Floodlight
FARMINGDALE, N.J., June 24, 2025 Dialight (LSE: DIA), the global leader in hazardous and industrial LED lighting innovation, has unveiled the latest addition to its product portfolio; the Battery Backup ProSite LED Floodlight.
This new solution is bolstering the existing ProSite Flood range, offering a variant that includes a battery backup solution – suitable for both hazardous and non-hazardous applications. Fitted with a 10W NiMH battery, the floodlight will continue to provide illumination in the event of a power outage or unstable input power.
Dialight has carefully selected NiMH due to its ability to operate within the widest ambient temperature range, from -4° to +131°F (-20° to + 55°C).
Suitable for egress pathways, outdoor muster areas, building perimeter lighting (exit doors) and site perimeters, the Battery Backup ProSite LED Floodlight will deliver up to 1700lms in emergency mode for up to 180 minutes. With a range of mounting options – angled bracket, straight bracket, slip fitter and heavy duty – the best fitting can be chosen for each individual application.
Beam distribution can also be selected, with a choice of NEMA 4, NEMA 6, NEMA 7×6, Asymmetric and Asymmetric Wide, while a 12,000 – 30,000 lumen output can also be specified.
Offering exceptional flexibility, the new floodlight solution features selectable maintained, switched maintained, and non-maintained emergency modes. The ProSite Floodlight is available in multiple color temperatures: Cool White (5000K), Neutral White (4000K), Warm White (2700K), Warm White (2200K), and Amber.
Highlighting its durability, the integrated PC optic, lens, and lens cover are rated IK10, while the glass lens holds an IK08 rating. The Battery Backup ProSite LED Floodlight is further enhanced with a premium dual-coat finish of epoxy and polyester.
Adding to its benefits, the Battery Backup ProSite LED Floodlight includes a self-test function that complies with certification requirements, eliminating the need for manual push-button tests or costly wiring to remote switches. Visual inspection is made simple with built-in red and green indicator lights on the fixture.
Dialight CEO, Steve Blair, said: “We are always looking for ways to expand our range by listening to the needs of our clients and the lighting industry. Dialight has long been aware that the sectors we serve can suffer from power outages and unstable power supplies, which can affect lighting. This has a range of implications, from safety risks to lost productivity.
“The new Battery Backup ProSite LED Floodlight is a great solution to mitigate a potential loss of power. We’re sure it will become a popular choice among our existing and new clients.”
